Draft Master Plan 2021 Submission date

This coming Monday, 12th July 2021 at 5:00 PM is the cut-off time for submissions to the proposed master plan for Moorabbin Airport.
Please ensure your submission is sent to MAC_MP2021@moorabbinairport.com.au or mailed to Moorabbin Airport Corporation Pty Ltd, Airport Management Centre, 66 Bundora Parade, Moorabbin Airport Victoria 3194. Email is preferred as too late to use Aust Post.

The proposed Master Plan was released by the Moorabbin Airport Corporation on 14th April 2021 with a request for submissions to be supplied within 60 working days. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a request was made to the MAC for them to ask the Department of Infrastructure for an extension of this date to allow further public consultation. The request was made from the MAC to the Department, and this request was then passed onto the Deputy Prime Minister for his approval. To date, we have not heard any further as to whether it has been approved.
With this in mind, we can only assume that the extension will not be granted, and the cut off time for any submissions will remain as Monday, 12th July 2021 at 5:00 PM.
Please make your submissions if you want to protect Moorabbin Airport. Have details in them as to what you don’t agree with, why you don’t agree and if you have one, list an alternate solution. The more information that is submitted may result in changes that can support aviation here at Moorabbin Airport.
Please don’t rely on someone else doing the work. That’s what happened 6 years ago, and it is plain to see the results of that.
The committee of the Chamber has seen some of the responses to the Master plan, and they are extensive and concise, but limited in numbers.
This is where we need you to respond., if we don’t want further removal of aviation at Moorabbin, we ALL have to respond, even if it is short and to the point.
