ELECTION PRIORITIES 2025 FROM MACCI

As you will be aware the election has been called for 3rd of May 2025. MACCI has been trying to advocate for General Aviation at Moorabbin Airport on both sides of the aisle.

We note that neither of the major parties have any specific General Aviation policies that we can point to.

We encourage all members to engage with their local candidates and raise their concerns surrounding the lack of representation for General Aviation across Australia.

Under the White Paper, released in 2024, the Government is planning on reviewing the legislation covering federally leased airports before 2030. We note that there is another round of Master Plans to be processed before 2030 and we are calling on the government to conduct the promised review early. This early review would require the next round of Master Plans to be conducted under the new legislation, providing greater security for General Aviation.
